Food packs carry the name or business name and address of the food business operator (on outer packaging too where consumer packs are unlabelled pre-retail); for cosmetics the Czech distributor checks the responsible-person particulars of Article 19(1)(a) before sale.
Under § 3(1)(e) of Act No 110/1997 Sb., food placed on the Czech market must carry mandatory food information in Czech at the point of sale to the consumer (or on the seller's website for distance sales); if the responsible person has not supplied Czech cosmetic labelling, the Czech distributor translates the Article 19(5) texts into Czech.
Claims follow Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 with permitted health claims listed in Regulation (EU) No 432/2012; MZe explains that 'on hold' Article 13.1 claims may be used until decided if they meet the regulation.
